THE CHANGING FACE OF CHRISTMAS

There was a time when Christmas
Meant Santa and his sleigh
My socks were hung right by the door
Wishful letters in Santa's mail
And then the world almost did end
When gifts were paid in cash
Dreams were just dreams, mirages all
Drowned with nary a splash
Now time ticks by, eyes blind, hearts heavy
Life struggles with burdens and desires
And all I want is to be Santa, this Christmas
To bless each hearth with a warm fire

SWEET TURBULENCE

I fell in love with a gale!

One day it rushed in
Unannounced
A mere blip
On the sky so blue
And swept me up
In its arms

Ah! How intoxicating
To be held
Tenderly
Like a treasure
In the safe embrace
Of chaotic storms

HUSHED

Pause....
In the quiet of the changing light
Listen to the night
Changing gowns....into day
Let silence take your breath away!

WHEN THE NIGHT STOOD STILL

Our hearts
Hung breathlessly between us
Upon warm mingled breaths
For an instant, forgetting to beat
And the dawn paused
As if reluctant to break the spell
Adding a few moments more
To our lasting eternity

MORNING MELODIES

Gossamer misty veils
Lit softly
By the sleepy gaze of a yawning sun

A lovers dawn....
And I think of you!

MS

RISQUÉ

Ah!
Those whispers
Whispered love
Whispered sighs
Creeping blush
Sparkling eyes....

Love highs and naughty lullabies!

MS

DUSK

The brume rushes in
Through amber weaves
As the angels sing
And the sky lays down to sleep
