FIRST LIGHT

Dawn walks across our face
On hushed feet of blushing light
The softly crumpled warmth
Of blankets
Cocooning us, in the waning night
The quiet caress of sleepy eyes
Lingering stardust
Gently shuddering in delight
The matchless glow
Of loving hearts, cheek to cheek
A breathless lull
And the molten insides ignite!
Dawns, they’re a beautiful sight.
